APPROACH

Approach from the south east. We recommend tracking over Hungerford and using the Kilcowera East approach, which is the safest and most scenic approach over the property.

This starts over Lake Wyara, part of Currawinya national park, so stay above 1500 AGL.

The route follows the east track.

Mt Roy airstrip and Lake East airstrips are currently serviceable for emergencies only.

Telstra mobile phone gives good service from Hungerford.

Approach from the north. Track over Thargomindah, and Kilcowera north airstrip.

AIRSTRIPS

There are two main strips used for your arrival.

1.  The main strip is called Kilcowera North, located 15 minutes drive north of the accommodation.  It has the firmest dirt surface, and the highest terrain, so is the most reliable in inclement weather.

MEALS

We cannot cater meals for you at the moment. But we can assist with helping you prepare the most amazing camp oven cooking in our facilities.  Bring the food and expect a banquet.

AMENITIES

We are blessed with the most amazing bore, which delivers hot artesian spring water for your shower.  It is worth experiencing Kilcowera just for this.  We have a simple laundry - bring gold coins because we cannot make the thing work any other way!

Finally, bring your sense of adventure.   We recommend Kilcowera for a minimum two night stay, so you can spend a day taking in the amazing sights of a wilderness fully functioning cattle station.
